mcpro24fpsProfessional Video Camera for Android

6. Quick Access Area

At the moment there are only 3 buttons in this area. But in the future their number and their composition may change.

1.6.1. Button of the List of the Available Sensors

Opens a list of available sensors. This list consists of available logical (not physical) cameras that the manufacturer has registered in the device system. We try to make sure that only available and functioning sensors are displayed there, but sometimes a non-working or duplicated sensor may be on the list.

The first time the app runs, it scans for available sensors and saves the list in its settings to speed up subsequent runs.

1.6.1.1. Feature of working with cameras in the application

Each camera in the mcpro24fps application is a separate working unit. Each camera has its own character and its own specific features. Therefore, there are a certain number of settings that are automatically saved within a single camera.

Such as:

  • Video resolution (size) and frame rate
  • Target frame rate
  • Exposure mode and settings
  • White balance mode
  • Manual white balance preset
  • Gamut
  • Gamma curve preset
  • Focus mode
  • Manual focus position
  • Manual focus limits
  • Automated focus settings
  • Manual focus infinity mode
  • Zoom position
  • Zoom limits
  • Auto zoom settings
  • Distortion correction
  • Hardware noise reduction
  • Hardware sharpness
  • Hot pixel correction
  • Stabilization settings
  • GPU noise reduction and GPU sharpness presets
  • Presetting GPU gamma curve
  • Reverse tonemapping
  • Presetting more GPU filters and controls
  • Flashlight
  • HDR adjustment
  • Viewfinder desqueezing
  • Video desqueezing
  • Type of desqueezing
  • Cropping video
  • Grid
  • Adjusting the DOF adapter

This approach is due to the fact that in 99% of cases the secondary sensors are a pathetic semblance of the main sensor. And very often the secondary sensors cannot do even 50% of what the main sensor can do. Consequently, it is impossible to save many settings for all sensors at once.

1.6.1.2. Problems with access to secondary sensors

As of today, it is known that the manufacturer Samsung does not grant access rights to the telelens. There is no hope, and as such there is no hope for 8K from the telelens either.

The manufacturer OnePlus on devices with version 11 of the Android OS does not give access to all of the secondary sensors. According to the latest information, the app must be put on some kind of app whitelist with access to secondary cameras. mcpro24fps is not on that list, and it is not yet known how to get on it.

There have also been noticed problems with the Huawei manufacturer, which may be hiding telelenses.

There are plenty of secondary cameras that carry auxiliary (non-serious) functions. Given that the mcpro24fps app relies on manual control, albeit minimally, some sensors can be discarded due to their complete uselessness or inoperability. All cameras that could be accessed without obvious "duct tapes" are available in the app and work. If there is no camera or it does not work, there is very little chance that a miracle will happen.

1.6.2. Flash Button

If the sensor allows flash on in flashlight mode, you will see this button in your quick access box. The setting is saved automatically for each sensor separately. If you exit the application with the flashlight on, the next time you start the application the flashlight will be on again.

1.6.3. Fast Lock Orientation Button

Duplicates the functionality of the menu item 1.3.2.4.1. Screen orientation
